The concept of the ‘One Programme’ is very simple - there will be one programme for all scouts and they interact with it depending on their age.  In our experience, not only has this proved most benficail at the transitions between programme sections eg. Trackers to Explorers, but also gives the group a single comman goal to work towards.   If you weren’t involved in Scouting before the pilot scheme it is difficult to fully appreciate the advantages that the ‘Pilot’ has brought to the 171st Rivervalley and understand why we’re anxious to get on with the ‘One Programme’

Essentially  in the ‘One Programme’ there are two strands to the educatonal

expereince of a Scout  - the ‘SPICES’ and the adventure skills.
